http://assassinscreed.uk.ubi.com/assassins-creed-2/community_news/Really liked the first game, even though people said it got kind of repetitive... I didn't mind that part all that much though. It was really easy to get around on the rooftops, and you had both good melee (insta-kill sneak attacks, sword fighting) and ranged ("seeking" throwing daggers ftw). I also liked how once you beat the game, you could go back into the Animus and kill anyone you want without penalties. Yes, many annoying poor women died that day
From what I can tell, this seems really cool. Someone did complain that it wasn't going to be as innovative as it could have been (
i.e. have all the sandboxness and the fighting in the future it's at 2:30 in this video), but hey, they're trying their best, and besides, this game has a story to follow. At the end of the first one, Desmond as still being held captive after all. And the religious thing doesn't bother me... yet. I understand the Knight's Templar is meant to be an evil secret society, not an illustrations of Christians everywhere, and I'm fine with that. I didn't like how the random preachers in all three cities said "God" when talking about God, because they're not all talking about the same one... if they said "Allah" in the Muslim city, "God" in the Christian city, and (Jews called God by a variety of names) in Jerusalem, I wouldn't be all that annoyed. But it's not that big of an issue, the worst I do is sigh incontently as I stab people through the head.
Ooo and the best part is, your character can actually swim now. I mean, sure the last guy lived in a desert, but swimming isn't THAT hard. So yeah, looks like lots of fun.
And has anyone heard about what Nintendo is up to?
