I'm pretty excited about this new development. The free trial has been removed from the main servers, so bots and gold sellers (the "zenny" sellers started a new attack that involves them standing in major towns, spamming text about their websites to buy zenny on. They would normally be blocked after so much spamming, but it turns out the feature that does that is client based, and the zenny spammers don't use a normal client) have taken a huge blow. Bots are still present, but nothing compared to what was in the past. Plus with a new encrypting of packets a while back, botters have a far more difficult time existing on this game. No one bots to level up anymore, the only ones now are the people who sell zenny for real money.

The F2P server does have nerfs, but what I find most enjoyable is that it's like someone hit a reset button on the server. No one has money, good equips, or high level characters, everyone is right at the beginning, so people are actually taking time to socialize. It's very fun.

Correction the F2P server has 100% rates and the "premium" servers are now at permanent 125% rates. And apparently, tons of people from the pirate servers are now flooding Valkyrie. Makes me wonder if iRO is going to reach the heights it once had years ago.

Ok xD I got it from the first Metroid Prime for Gamecube. One of the space pirate consoles you scan talks about the achievements the space pirates have done since they landed on the planet you're on, and says, "Truly, these are glorious times." I really liked that phrase for some reason xD
